Dave's Weekend in Five Pictures August 17-19

Another crazy busy but fun weekend. Thanks for looking at my weekend in five pictures. Here we go!

I want a great dane!  Okay, not really, but they're really cool and giant dogs and these were so friendly! I met them on a walk down the old railway route in Excelsior Saturday.

Saturday afternoon I played golf at the Chaska par 30 course. It was a perfect, beautiful summer night and these geese flying over and squawking was just really cool.

Josie and I went paddle-boarding on Lake Minneswashta.  She loves it, but she gets annoyed with me when I accidentally tip us over and she goes in.

Lake Patrol Saturday on Lake Minnetonka.  It was so cool meeting so many people who let me get pictures with them and get on their boat!

I've been learning how to play the ukulele this summer and it's one of the best things I've done for myself lately.  It's relaxing and it's so fun.  I use an app called "Yousician" that guides you through everything and makes it really fun.

A couple of weeks ago, I gave my daughter Allison a $70 ukulele we'd bought in Hawaii a few years ago and never played.  She's been using the app too, and loves it.  Today she came home and we played together.  It was so awesome!  Seriously, if you want a way to relax, feel accomplished and creative and have fun doing it, go down to Schmidt Music and pick up a ukulele for $100 or so, download the app and start playing.  I love it.

I hope YOU had a great weekend! Can you believe the fair starts this week? It's crazy! Summer needs to be a lot longer in Minnesota!
