I reupholstered a bench this weekend... who am I??

Not too eventful of a Friday night. I hung out with my friend Taylor for awhile before heading over to take care of my neighbor's dogs. They are the fluffiest and the cutest of all time and I love getting to watch them.

Since I was staying at my parents this weekend I ran some errands with my mom. I've been looking for a bench for my room for awhile now and found an almost* perfect bench at TJ Maxx!
The only problem was that I hated the cushion. It was basically just a rug. I shouldn't say basically, it literally was a rug.
This is what it looked like before my mom and I took it apart.
I should clarify that we are not professionals and have never reupholstered anything before in our lives. Shout out YouTube.
We started by detaching the seat from the bench, then went to town on the hundreds of staples that held it together. After we got everything out we went fabric shopping. I was really looking for something soft with texture. Then we headed back home to start re-stapling. This took some serious trial and error. My mom and I ended up putting it on the floor, then kneeling on it to get maximum force.

Is it perfect? Probably not, but it's WAY better than it was and I love it! I can't wait to put it in my room!
Sunday 7/22 -
On Sunday I left for dance camp in Brainerd (where I am now). It's #LIT and I'm here through tomorrow.
