I'm a sucker for Buzzfeed articles and stumbled upon this one that states the most popular foods in each state according to the people that live there. Growing up in Wisconsin, I knew exactly what the answer had to be and I was correct..... it's deep fried cheese curds! And then I checked out Minnesota's and I was a little surprised it was the Jucy Lucy and not hot dish.
Here's a list of the Midwest states.
Minnesota: Jucy Lucy
Wisconsin: Deep Fried Cheese Curds
Iowa: Sweet Corn
Illinois: Deep-dish Pizza
North Dakota: Lefse
South Dakota: Chislic
