On Sunday, February 4th, 2018 I danced on live television in front of millions of people as part of Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl Halftime performance.
Yeah, my mind is kinda blown too.
I was lucky enough to have been given this once in a lifetime experience because I coach a high school dance team here in MN. Several of the state's best dance teams were invited to perform with Justin during halftime and for some reason they let me dance with them.
We've been rehearsing like CRAZY over the past two weeks. Upwards of 8 hour long practices at U.S. Bank Stadium or other rehearsal facilities. There are so many pieces to a Super Bowl Halftime puzzle and if you think you have any idea of what actually happens behind the scenes to make this thing run, you're most likely very mistaken.
I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Justin, his team, and the Super Bowl organizers. Everyone was kind, generous and hard working. Justin was a trooper, dancing with us over and over again. He was thoughtful and even gifted us all one night with s'mores and hot chocolate! I LOVED dancing in this show. I had an absolute BLAST and I'm pretty sure this will rank as one of the greatest moments of my life.
AND I made it on TV a bunch!! You kinda have to look closely for me, but have no fear, I went ahead and did the work for you!
Shout out to the Star Tribune for this awesome article!! You can peep me all the way to the right!
Our team, along with a couple others, were also asked to help with pre-game. I held a flag during America the Beautiful!
Watch Justin's full performance below!!
So, so, SO grateful for this opportunity!!
