Boo!
Hope you had a good weekend! Here are five photos that show what I did to keep busy!
First up, pumpkin carving. We love this and Carson put a ton of effort into his. Allison comes home every year just to do this.
I passed First Avenue when we were downtown Friday night. I've never been inside, have you? I was thinking, there are a ton of names on the outside of the building but you have to figure some need to be painted over with names of acts that may be bigger. I mean, Soul Coughing, I'm not trying to pick on you but if Charlie Puth every played there, I'd think that would be a big enough act to paint over your star. Same goes for you, Billy Bragg!
We went to see the Minnesota Orchestra play the music along with the movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark." It was so cool! I'm not an orchestra kind of person but I totally respect and admire their talent and their art. They are soooo good! There were many times I actually had to remind myself that the music was live. Tip: We sat too close and could only see the first row or two of musicians. If you ever go, sit back further and higher up to see everyone.
Saturday night, Falen, Steve and I hosted a Halloween party at The Living Room in the W Hotel downtown Minneapolis. I'm Barb from Stranger Things. We had a great time!
Okay, Nerd Alert! Steve and Falen know I have a bird-feeder outside my kitchen window and yes, I admit I have a bird ID app on my phone (Merlin Bird ID). So they got me a birdhouse for my birthday! I set it up Saturday and by Sunday morning it was like the bird apocalypse out there! The birds loved it and were all over it! Including this cardinal who chased the other birds away.
Hope you had a good weekend and I hope you have a great Halloween week! Can you believe it's almost November already? Wasn't it just State Fair time???
Thanks for looking at my blog!
