Animated 'Snow White' Parody Criticized For 'Body Shaming' [PHOTO]

A marketing campaign for Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs, an animated parody of the classic Snow White fairy tale, is being slammed by critics for 'fat shaming.'

A promotional poster for the film shows a slender Snow White standing next to a shorter, fuller-figured version of the princess. Next to her, the words: "What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 dwarfs not so short?"

"How did this get approved by an entire marketing team?" Plus-size model Tess Holiday wrote on Twitter. "Why is it okay to tell young kids being fat = ugly?"

Chloe Grace Moretz, who voices the film's star, said she was "appalled" by the ad and asked the marketing team to review the campaign.

"The actual story is powerful for young women and resonated with me," Moretz wrote on Twitter. "I am sorry for the offense that was beyond my creative control."
