Here's How Much Bridesmaids Would Earn If They Were Paid

While being a bridesmaid on your bestie's wedding day is an honor, it definitely has its disadvantages: it's stressful, time-consuming and really expensive.

Bridesmaids are on-call from the day the future bride says "Will you?" to the day she says "I do," which is why fashion retailer Simply Be confirms being a bridesmaid actually is a full-time job.

The company spoke with more than 1,000 women in the UK and learned that bridesmaids spend an average of 43 hours wedding planning. Based on the average salary of professional wedding planners, bridesmaids could make about $399.37 a week if they were being paid for their time.
