Friends try to trick their teacher with the same haircut, but don't see that something else will tell them apart

Two five-year-old boys from Kentucky tried to trick their Pre-K teacher in the sweetest, most innocent way possible.

When Jax's mom Lydia told him it was time for a haircut, he told her that he wanted a buzz cut like his friend and classmate Reddy, adding "we're going to trick the teacher."

According to TODAY:

Jax decided that if he and Reddy, 5, had the same haircut, no one would be able to tell them apart, including their pre-K teacher. Reddy apparently thought this prank was flawless as well.

Obviously there are other reasons why the teacher wouldn't be fooled, but we love the fact that these two boys don't see themselves or each other like that. Jax's mom said, "It is just two innocent boys. Obviously, they are different colors, they just don't care. It is not important. I just taught him to love everyone the same."

The Monday after the haircut, Reddy got to school first and told their teacher he was Jax. The teacher played along.

Lydia posted a photo of the BFFs on the Facebook page Love What Matters and we love the caption:

If this isn't proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught I don't know what is. The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair.
