This weekend I took on a project of making insulated window covers for our camper van. After attending YouTube University (aka watching lots of Youtube vids), I started making one and screwed it up because our van is much older than the ones in the YouTube videos and I didn't realize I should have been measuring differently. After the first mess-up, I continued on and made another and it was much more difficult than I anticipated, but I got it done. Then I made one more on Sat, and one on Sun. I'm going to post a video of the process. If you want to see, follow me on Instagram :)
Saturday while I worked on more window covers, Andrew ripped out everything in the van to figure out some issues. For instance, tons of dust has been getting in it and we have to find out where there might be holes that need to be filled. After working for a while we took a break and treated ourselves at Wells Roadside in SLP!
The Twin Cities Marathon is one of my favorite days of the year! I LOVE the energy at races and I get teary-eyed at some point when I go to them because I know how hard the participants work to get ready for a race and think it's so awesome! Congrats to everyone who ran this weekend!
This is the second year I've gone to my friend Tony's parents house to hang out! We start the morning off having coffee, bagels, and mimosas while we cheer the runners on!
Then they host a chili cook-off! Tony's family members all make a batch of chili and then we have a couple bites of each and vote who's is the best. Each chili is always so different and delicious. The chili that won this year used Italian sausage and almost tasted like a pizza. I brought some frosted peanut butter cookies to contribute to the feast and they were a hit as well!
One more week at the show and then Andrew and I are heading out on our first big camper van trip! We're going to Colorado and Utah and honestly, don't have much planned because we're really just winging this trip, which goes against every bit of my personality lol. But I'm super excited!
