Andrew and I went up to his Grandpa's cabin in Lutsen this weekend. We stopped at New Scenic Cafe on the way up and had a fantastic meal! Then swung by Sea Cave Beach to check out the sea caves.
Saturday we hiked Lima Mountain which wasn't my favorite trail but driving out on Gunflint Trail was super fun! Afterwards we stopped in Grand Marais and were hanging in our Camper Van with a view of Lake Superior when I ran into Allison, Dave's daughter!
Saturday night we hit up North Shore Winery in Lutsen. It's such a cute place and had great wine!
Sunday we hiked Oberg Mountain and saw some awesome Fall colors that are starting to change!
We also hiked the Caribou River Trail to the waterfall and this short 1.4 mile roundtrip hike might be one of my new favorites along the North Shore.
I had a lot of questions about Fall. Closer to Lutsen/Grand Marais, the colors are starting to change, I'd say at about 30%. I think the next two weeks are going to be the best times to see the colors if you wanted to do some Leaf Peeping before a lot of leaves start to fall. I posted more things we did on my Instagram if you want to check that out here!
