What a strange variety of things I did this weekend! I'm exhausted!
Right after work, I went to a training at The Hennepin to be a Spotlight Education Evaluator. During the school year, I'll go see high school theatre productions and write educational feedback for them. A fun way to spend an evening. I'm excited!
I was only home for a little bit this weekend, where I got to snuggle up on my cat, Capp. (He's named after my friend Katie Capp, shoutout Katie Capp)
My favorite improv group, The Bearded Company, are doing an improvised Dungeons and Dragons campaign called Swords and Sorcery every Friday night at 7:30pm at HUGE Theater in Uptown. Always a good time, I don't want it to be over (but HUGE is closing in October.) I stayed after for the next show, Ka-baam! which was a comic book improv show starring my friend, Justin!
Saturday I went to Boss Check Rich's home to see his new baby horses. I only stayed for a little because I had a callback for a show with the Twin Cities Horror Fest in St. Paul right after. Managed to see my friends Sarah and Jordan and their kids when I returned their keys from the week watching their cats.
Went to my friend Ali's anniversary party/her husband Rick's birthday party. We always end up playing Jackbox games and chatting. Ali and I love cats and cross stitch and the Netflix show, Locke and Key.
Saturday night was also my friend Hannah's birthday. We went to see the drag show at LUSH, which was Women of Pop! We're so used to throwing money at burlesque shows, so we had to remember you're meant to hand the money to drag queens!
Back again at the Renaissance Festival. It was so ungodly humid out and at one point I felt I was getting heat stroke. I only worked 7 hours rather than the usual 11 though, so I'm thankful for that! And I met a cool Saruman!
And I briefly met up with my friend Jackie for an hour or two to listen to music, have a beer, and window shop.
