Let me start off with some recipes I made this week that were awesome as I kick of my weekend pictures! Monday I made this crab salad. It was great! Very different from normal dinners we'd have. The toasted brioche bun is key! You have to like a cold/crab salad to enjoy this!

For Jake's birthday, I made a soaked coconut lime cake. I don't LOVE coconut, but I didn't mind it in this cake. I cooked it for 25 minutes like I saw in the comments instead of 30, and it was great! Click here for the recipe. - AND tonight I made an ultimate BLT with a twist. Since peaches are in season, we cooked bacon, and then assembled: bacon, mozzarella, tomato, peach & basil on sourdough bread. We cooked it on the stove to make a melt. Then I drizzled hot honey on top and sprinkles some flaky salt! OMG!!! So amazing!

Friday we stayed at the Four Seasons in Minneapolis for Jake's birthday. It was truly lovely!
Saturday we went to a b-day party for Olive's friend then had dinner at Jake's mom's house for his birthday. This was my favorite pic from the evening...
Today was super busy...so first of all, I have a bad new mouth development. It will be fine, but I now have an ulcer inside my mouth from my procedure. It's pretty painful and hard to eat. I've been chewing on one side of my mouth. My doctor said it's normal, but it will take 8 days-2 weeks to heal. Not ideal, but we'll get through it! Anyway, today we went to the Carver County Fair. It's officially a tradition!
After that, I hosted a Q&A with Julianne Hough at Mall of America. She has a new fiction book out! She was just as lovely in person!
