Summer of 2023 was one for the books. It was steamy one but it came with great memories I’ll cherish forever. The summer started like many other, crushing it at kickball on Thursday nights, hitting up rooftops with girlfriends, getting outside for hot girl walks, but the one thing that really kicked it off was my first time in the Big Apple. The boy I have a crush on, Andrew, and myself, went to New York City in June and took that place by storm. We explored all over Manhattan and Brooklyn until we physically couldn’t walk anymore. The trip wrapped up with a fancy event that we got dressed up for. It was called The Gracies. I won an award for Producer of the Year and was so inspired and honored to be in a room full of other amazing women in media.
I thought that that was going to be the highlight of my summer but the best parts were actually much simpler. Getting couch cuddles with the dogs that we dog sat, hanging a hammock by a lake with Andrew, and going home to Wisconsin to spend time with my family. We did finish up the summer with one last adventure.Andrew and I spent Labor Day weekend at a cabin and I tried mountain biking for the first time! It was a great mixture of activity and relaxation. The best part of the weekend was kayaking at sunset. If I could bottle up this summer and keep it in my back pocket I would but I’ll be just as happy thinking back on all of the memories.
And here is my picture to go along with it!
