Falen's Long Weekend in 5 Pictures 9/3-9/6

Friday I wasn't feeling well, so I went to get a covid test, and it was negative thankfully. RSV has been going around, and Olive is sick, so I'm assuming she gave me her sickness. I'm still not well, but I did a few things this weekend! Friday we finished Clickbait on Netflix, and we were totally surprised by the ending! Highly recommend!

Saturday we went to buy some plants for next year. I wanted to get some hydrangeas and peonies and tulips in the ground.

On the way home, we stopped at the Apple House to grab some apples! If you find yourself on the west side, check this place out. Fresh apples and a food truck that has apple cider slushies!

I also washed everything in the house...bedding, clothing, pillows, AND the couch covers. I've talked about Elliott "leaking" on the couch. It's so upsetting, and I don't want to buy a new couch. It's filled with feathers (worst mistake of my life buying a couch with feathers), so it's a chore to wash the cushions. We have Elliott on medicine now to help with her incontinence.

Sunday we had tickets to the Van Gogh Immersive exhibit. It's super cool and only lasts about 30 minutes. It's very spaced and requires a mask.

Last night, we watched "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu. It only has 3 episodes out with Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez. It's SO good! They live in the same apartment building, and someone is killed, so they start a true crime podcast.

Like I said, it was a pretty lame weekend lol...I used to love the cornmeal pancakes at Moose and Sadie's, so I found a recipe for cornmeal pancakes on the NY Times website and made them today. They were so good. Also, a key to blueberry pancakes is getting the wild blueberries, so they're smaller. I also meal prepped a southwest chicken salad from Fit Foodie Finds for wraps this week.
