I went to Charleston a few years ago with my besties. We did a combo trip between Charleston and Savannah and had such a great time. Jake had never been, so we decided to do a little trip. We left early Friday morning but of course had a 2-hour delay in Chicago. We finally got there and had dinner reservations ready to go at Leon's! I had read it had the best fried chicken, and it did not disappoint.
On the way there, we stopped in an antique shop. The owner told us to try the pizza across the street too...
It was called Melfi's, and the pizza was called the Stretch Armstrong. Very good, but not as good as Boludo's here! SOOOO we had 2 dinners...haha
Our hotel had free bikes you could take out, so we rode around the first half of Saturday. It was so beautiful. I only brought dresses, but since it was a low beach cruiser, I was fine.
Our hotel had free cheese and wine at night, so we took advantage of that Saturday...
We decided it was so nice out we should hit the beach, so I bought a cheap bathing suit at H&M, and we went to the beach on Sunday!
And we had dinner reservations...or so I thought...at a place I went my first time that I really loved. Once we got there, they couldn't find our name, and I couldn't find the confirmation email. I could feel my cheeks getting red because I was embarrassed. I didn't want to look like someone lying about making reservations, and I apologized. The girl gave us a table because I was nice. Her words not mine...she said you wouldn't believe the number of times people are rude to her because they made a mistake booking.
All in all, it was a great trip filled with vitamin d that we needed...I got my first mosquito bites of the season, and we started binging "Mare of Easttown" on HBO, and it's great! Highly recommend! Thanks for checking out my pics! Happy to be back on the show tomorrow. What did I miss?
