I feel SO accomplished after this weekend. I had a vision for our spare bedroom, and I wanted to "spruce" it up using mostly only things I own. With that said, I wanted to add wood paneling. We didn't (now do thanks to facebook marketplace) have a mitre saw, so I hired a friend, Tim. He also built shelves for our TV built-in in our living room. His info is on my Instagram. Anyway, I bought the wood paneling and paint (Farrow & Ball Sulking Room Pink) and rug from overstock.com (the exact rug link is also on the Instagram post). Everything else I already owned and threw in. The reveal will be the last photo!
Friday we put up the wood and primed it. Saturday morning, I put on the first coat of paint and then chatted with my buddies, Raven, Lauren, Harry and Tina. Tina spent the entire hour eating 1 bowl of oatmeal. I couldn't believe how long it took to eat oatmeal. HAHA
I also facetimed my sister, brother-in-law and niece:)
Then I added the second coat of paint. Today I did a little bit of Christmas shopping with my mom:)
This picture is just so cute. Olive carries around Jake's teddy bear from when he was a baby all the time. A lot of people asked if it has a red ribbon around it's neck because they had one just like it as a kid. It doesn't have it anymore, but he said it used to:)
AND here's the final room. I didn't paint the outlets but might later? Not sure...I also got the fake plant from Amazon and the side tables from Target a couple of years ago. Again, I owned most of it. Lamps on the nightstands would look nice, but I didn't have extras laying around. haha Elliott was a fine model for the final photo!
