We all had a challenge yesterday to try a mom and pop shop.
Dave tried Sota Licious! This great little locally owned bakery just opened in June. They have 70 varieties of cupcakes rotating 10 new ones in every day of the week. Also great cookies, bars and brownies. Shout out Amy the owner! Highway seven and Highway 41 in Excelsior.

Falen tried Nico's Taco Bar in Uptown on Hennepin. They have a fantastic patio, and the guacamole and tacos were amazing. I loved the pastor taco! Jenny has been before and said the spicy margarita is awesome too!
Jenny tried Bebe Zito, a new ice cream shop in Uptown at 704 West 22nd Street. A couple owns it and they have the cutest story of how they met two strangers while camping 2 years ago, a mother and son, and told them about their dream of opening an ice cream shop. The mom gave them this note, and it’s hung in there office ever since as motivation to push forward.
They just opened in July and it is by far my new favorite ice cream shop! I tried the animal frosting flavor and give it an 11/10!
