We had a great time in Boston seeing Carson. It's been hard to have him gone to college but I know he's loving it so that made it easier.
Here's my weekend in five pictures!
Friday night, we waited in the hotel lobby for him to walk in and I had my camera ready!
We walked by Fenway Park on the way to lunch on Saturday.
And we took a 45 minute Boston Harbor tour which was just the right amount of time. This is the USS Constitution, the oldest surviving and still active US Navy vessel. Or something pretty close to that anyway! It was nicknamed "Old Ironsides" because when the British shot cannonballs at it, they just bounced off it's sides.

It's funny, Susan was much more emotional when she said goodbye to him this time and so was Carson. I asked her why and she had a really good answer. She said that when we dropped him off for the start of the school year, it was all exciting and new and happy. Now it's more routine and we just miss him.
That makes perfect sense.
