I went home once again this weekend but this time for something very exciting... to meet my niece for the first time! It's the first niece (non-furry) I've had so it was very emotional. I walked into my sister's house Friday night and when I first saw her, I honestly didn't think she was real. Then I held her and fell in love immediately. I spent the entire weekend doing nothing but hanging out with Maddie B. and my family and it was one of the best weekend's I've had in a while :)
Outside of holding, feeding, and burping my niece, I watched the waves crash up to the shore at my sister's for a while Friday night. She lives on Lake Winnebago and usually it's pretty calm but Friday it seemed quite angry.
My younger sister lives with my older sister/brother-in-law and between the 3 of them, they have 3 dogs and 2 cats. My younger sister's puppy, looks so much like my older sister's first dog, a lot of times we get them confused.
Sunday was my cousin Michael's birthday. I miss a lot of family things living 5 hours away so it was nice to be home and be able to celebrate someone's birthday for once.
