I saw this online:
And I thought, "I can make that!" So I cut up the wood pieces, bought round boards at Lowe's and went to work.
To be honest, I don't know how practical a trivet is (did you know that's what it's called? I didn't!) but they were fun to make and I also love the smell of a woodworking project, so that was a bonus.
I made three of them, and one I made into a lazy Susan. Why would it need to rotate? Good question!
