What? The weekend went that quickly! I really didn't do much exciting. I watched the NFL playoffs on TV, the only time I ever watch football anymore.
Let's get started!
This chubby little guy has been raiding our bird feeder and taunting Roger the cat for weeks. He's to the point we can come right up to the window and take his picture without scaring him off. I don't mind really...it's kinda cute.
Someone made me these home made bird feeders out of cookie cutters, birdseed and peanut butter so I hung it in the backyard in Colorado.
And this was the get-together I planned for Saturday night. I invited about 45 people and only a few showed up but we had a good time. I think the lesson for me was if you weren't popular with the rest of the student when you were in high school, you're not going to be popular with them after high school. And I'm okay with that.
Couple of notes. The guy in the middle is a rock drummer who toured Europe back in the day and the guy in white is a brilliant doctor and head of some big important thing at a big important hospital in Denver. He was always super-sharp. The guy in red and I used to go shooting together with our dads when we were kids. And the woman is a year behind us. I didn't know her in school but she's part of our friend group now.
Food NEVER looks as good as it should when you make it yourself, but I made lemon pepper chicken for dinner tonight and it was really good!
Here's the recipe. Very simple. Takes maybe 15 minutes prep time and 30 cooking time.
