The Holiday Calendar (Jake and I just watched this and really liked it!)
Out now!
In The Holiday Calendar, a photographer inherits an antique advent calendar—which predicts the future. “Will this magical calendar lead her to love this holiday season?” Netflix’s synopsis asks. Here’s betting the answer is yes.
The Princess Switch
Premieres November 16
It’s a classic trading-places comedy, in which Margaret, the Duchess of Montenaro, switches roles with a lookalike “commoner” from Chicago named Stacy, a week before Christmas. Margaret falls in love with Stacy’s coworker, while Stacy falls in love with Margaret’s prince fiancé. We predict more than a few hijinks will ensue.
The Christmas Chronicles
Premieres November 22
Kurt Russell plays Santa Claus in The Christmas Chronicles, which tells the story of a brother and sister who try to catch Santa on camera on Christmas Eve. “After staking out Santa’s arrival, they sneak into his sleigh, cause it to crash and nearly derail Christmas,” Netflix’s summary teases. “As their wild night unfolds, Kate and Teddy work together with Santa—as you've never seen him before—and his loyal elves to save Christmas before it's too late.”
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding
Premieres November 30
It’s the sequel to the wildly popular A Christmas Prince, and it promises more romance and holiday cheer than ever. A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding features Prince Richard and Amber as they plan their wedding, deal with pre-nuptials jitters, and navigate a political crisis.
