The room was pretty split last night on the book "Modern Lovers". Those that didn't like it thought it was too boring with no real climax! Thanks to Roseville Library for hosting us and Green Mill for providing dinner!
In August, we'll be watching the new movie "Crazy Rich Asians". I encourage you to read the book. If you get in, and you've never done a "movie" book club before, here's how it works. You click the link below to claim your tickets. You need to arrive to the movie 30 minutes before it starts. They have reserved seats for us, but they will fill those seats with other people outside of book club before the movie starts.We don't discuss the book, we just watch the movie! You have to purchase your own snacks:)PLEASE don't share this with other people. I have loyal book club attendees, and I really want them to get tickets since this free movie is intended for that. We'll be meeting Monday, August 13 at Showplace ICON at The West End at 7:00pm. There will be a pre-screening party for book club attendees in the Showplace Lobby Lounge starting at 6:00pm. Everyone in attendance will receive a complimentary drink voucher upon arrival and will have guaranteed seating in the theater. This is a 21+ event.
