National Pass Gas Day: Kids Don't Find Farts Funny Anymore?

It's too late to do anything about Gen Z, but Gen Alpha is still young enough to mold. And they obviously need our help . . .

Today is National Pass Gas Day, celebrating FARTS . . . the one thing that's still universally funny across all demographics. Or, maybe not?

"Lifehacker" did a round-up of the top things kids did and DIDN'T find funny in 2025. And farts are apparently NOT funny anymore.  (???)

Some videos went viral in July where parents and teachers claimed Gen Alpha kids don't laugh when someone cuts a loud fart . . . even if it's a wet one, or a squeaker.

One video showed a mom asking her kid about it, and he was adamant NO ONE in his class would laugh if he farted, even if it stunk.

He informed her that farting is a normal thing we all do, and she agreed . . . because he's right. But she said EVERYONE would have laughed when she was a kid.

It's not clear if the "farts aren't funny" thing is really true on a large scale or not. But if it is, this might be why: Some people think laughing at a fart might seem like BULLYING to them.

We've been hammering the "no bullying" thing for two decades, and kids today are just way more mindful about it than we were.
