Would your relationship with your dentist be different . . . if they had you take a courtroom oath, where you're SWORN IN at the front desk?
Or would you still LIE THROUGH YOUR UN-FLOSSED TEETH?
In a survey, 57% of Americans admit that they've lied to their dentist about their dental hygiene. 60% of those people say they do it to "impress" their dentist . . . 33% don't want their dentist to think less of them . . . and 19% describe them as unintentional "panic lies" that accidentally slip out.
64% of people who lie to their dentist say they feel guilty about their dishonesty. (Maybe this "guilt" makes them dream about their teeth falling out?)
But don't worry TOO much about it. Dentists know. It's what they do. 48% of people say they know their dentist can see right through their lies about flossing and brushing . . . but for whatever reason, they still do it.
