Alicia Keys and Kerry Washington, along with America Ferrera, are teaming up to host Every Vote Counts: A Celebration of Democracy. Alicia and Kerry shared with Ryan Seacrest on-air on Thursday, October 29, it’s not about "this candidate" or "that candidate," it’s you and your future.

“Every Vote Counts: A Celebration of Democracy,” a television and streaming special, will air on CBS and multiple iHeartRadio stations and streaming platforms tonight, just five days before the national election and there’s still time to get your ballot in.

“We were feeling like there’s so much intensity right now,” Kerry shared with Seacrest. “There’s a lot of anxiety about this upcoming election and everybody telling everyone what to do and we just wanted to take a moment to say, wow, we are so blessed to live in this country where we get to vote and where we get a voice and let’s celebrate that and encourage each other and love each other through this moment, not be like yelling at each other
and guilting each other into showing up,” she continued. “Show up for your community because you love yourself and you love your neighbors and your vote is your way of expressing your values.”

Alicia, along with a bevy of other mega artists including Billie Eilish and Jennifer Lopez, are also set to perform.

“Regardless of ‘this candidate, that candidate’
this idea of showing up for each other,” Alicia added. “Showing up for ourselves and our families
for all these things in your world that we know we want to shift and change, showing up for that. That’s the focus and the inspiration and celebration.”
