I love pop culture and Halloween, which results in DIY cosplay costumes. I made three looks this year. Check 'em out!
Zenon Kar of Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century
How-to DIY: I ordered the hot pink catsuit from JustinCostumes on Amazon ($30). I found the blue leather skirt at Ragstock ($5) and the vest (originally black leather) at Ragstock, too ($12). I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics to find fabric to match the skirt. Using hemming tape, I covered the black leather vest with the fabric. I also used the hemming tape to add the details on the vest, which I cut out of scrapbook paper.
Chucky & Tiffany Valentine of Bride of Chucky
How-to DIY: We found the wedding dress ($25), overalls ($30) and striped shirt ($5) at Ragstock. I used fabric paint from Jo-Ann Fabrics ($3) to write "Good Guys" on the overalls. I bought black fishnets at Party City ($10). Harry already had red shoes, and I already had a leather jacket and combat boots.
Betty Cooper from Riverdale
How-to DIY: Falen, Web Girl Tina, Harry in Promotions and a couple of our friends and I dressed as the cast of Riverdale. For Betty, I purchased the basic pink sweater at H&M ($25). I already had white shoes and grey jeans, and I borrowed the bedazzled collared undershirt from Web Girl Tina.
