Friday I decided to reveal to the world the mural I painted in our living room. I posted it on Instagram and I'm questioning if people understand that the second picture is not my mural. It's what I looked at for reference. The first is what I have in my living room right now but by the comments of people saying they liked it, I just wonder if anyone's confused, haha. I didn't color match ahead of time so the colors are way off and that's the main thing I don't like about it. I might try it again or I might wallpaper or just paint it all back to white, haha.
Saturday I planned a little date night for Andrew and I. I made a reservation for Stepchld in Northeast Minneapolis. If you ever go you HAVE to get the Sweet Potato Fritters. I wish I had had the whole order to myself! We also love the mussels and the Cooper Burger!
Afterwards we went and watched the Aquatennial fireworks!
Our dinner ran late so we rushed over to the Hennepin bridge to see them and our viewing spot wasn't as good as last year's but I still stand by the fact that it's the best firework show you'll ever see!
Sunday I made a goal to try to be outside as much as I could. I went to Lake of the Isles and hammocked for almost 4 hours! Andrew came for a bit and then the rest of the time I worked on some things. This little duck family kept swimming by us and they were so entertaining because one of the baby ducks was a little bit of an a-hole and he'd start something and then they'd all start nipping at each other, lol.
