Friday I went counter shopping. I've never done this in my life. Doing a bathroom renovation has been so interesting for me. I feel like I have learned so much about basic things that a lot of people already know. For instance, after the sheetrock was placed in, my schedule said "taping". I assumed they were taping stuff off. That isn't it at all, so Jake explained it.
Anyway, Friday night I had a surprise date set up for Jake. I took him to Bar Brava which was so good. It's a little wine bar in Minneapolis with unique dishes like this beet toast. I normally don't LOVE beets-they're fine just not to die for, but this was amazing!
Then I took him to a candlelight concert. I was suckered into a Facebook ad. This was at the Granada Theater in Minneapolis. It was such a cool event. It was a Miles Davis quintet. Here's where true musicians will be annoyed with me...the songs sound so similar to me....I'm sorry. I know they are amazing musicians, and I respect that, and the event was so cool. BUT I do think I would have liked the Disney songs one better. LOL
BUT I picked the dat for Jake, and he really loved it which is what matters.
And this is us after our sweaty walk back to the car...
Saturday morning I met my friend, Harry for coffee.
AND we went out on a boat with some of Jake's co-workers. I met them a few times before, and I really liked them, so I was like we should have them out and go out on a boat. It was a ton of fun! Shoutout to Ryan, Sam, Sasha and Creed for a great Saturday...oh and to our captain, Jake:)
AND this morning we were already up for a walk out to Lake Minnewashta (thanks to Dave's rec)! I hope you had a great weekend:)
