I love my kitchen. I've never LOVED the hardware, but it also never bothered me enough to change it. I recently decided I wanted to change something up, and I've always read to change paint because it's a more affordable change. I've been seeing so many kitchens moving away from the white cabinets to a blue or green, and I like the idea. We have a ton of light in the kitchen, so I'm not worried about it being too dark. With that said, I also decided to keep the top cabinets white. (Side Note: I am hiring a professional to paint the cabinets. I would ruin them.)
We went and got a paint sample of "Hale Navy" and painted the cardboard you'll see below to see how it looks in different light. It definitely looks quite dark in the evening/lower light, but we like it. We didn't want anything super blue. I also ordered this hardware for super cheap on Amazon. I was going to get gold, but I decided I like the matte black look better.
SO I already changed out the hardware on the top cabinets. The round knobs were the before knobs and had a bit of brass to them. Also, here's an example of the new drawer pulls we'll use once it's all painted.
