A lot of people think we work 6a-10a, and then we're done for the day, but there's quite a bit more we do. I will admit leaving work around 1 is pretty awesome, but this is a little look at behind the scenes. Yesterday, after the show ended, we recorded the Minnesota Goodbye which is our after-the-show podcast. Then, we recorded a phone tap. After that, we planned the show for the next day. Then, I met with someone to record an episode of my Heartbroken Podcast.
After all of that, I recorded a bunch of (14) commercials and edited the phone tap as you'll see in the video below. (Sorry the video is vertical, I recorded it in Insta-Story)
I went home after that and relaxed a bit. A lot of days we'll have meetings or "appearances". Like Monday night, I had book club, or tonight, I'll be at Aveda for a couple of hours.
We all get online and finalize stuff for the show every night which is usually and on-and-off process for 1-3 hours. I checked the station email (firstname.lastname@example.org), responded to people and did the same on my social media. I post a nightly poll on the Dave Ryan in the Morning show, and we all do at least 1 blog a day at daveryanshow.com
We all read Christmas Wish entries and shared our top picks with everyone on the show. We all read each other's top picks. SO some days are definitely busier than others! Thank you so much for listening to the show!
