This was Jake's first trip to New York, so we did some classic stuff! He had his first NY slice when we landed (Artichoke).
Saturday, we were up early, and we tried Citizen Chelsea for breakfast. It was okay! We hit up Times Square and did some shopping. We checked out the Plaza, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station and Central Park!
We took a quick little detour and stumbled upon a place that had adorable cakes and this cool rainbow wall. Turns out it's the place I've seen all over Instagram with the confetti cakes...they cut them open and candy falls out of the middle. It was a random accident.
Saturday night, we saw the Broadway show, Anastasia. I think it's a completely underrated movie, and both Jake and I love the movie. The production was amazing. Honestly, we loved it so much! AND we grabbed a street hot dog after!
Sunday morning we tried Buvette which was a pretty light breakfast and took a ferry to Brooklyn. We took some pics and went to a place called Smorgusburg. It's basically a set-up in the park filled with the best food in Brooklyn! It was recommended to me on Instagram, and she was RIGHT! We had amazing dumplings, a burger that was to-die-for and these FRITES! It was raining so there weren't any lines which is super rare I guess?! We went back to Manhattan and tried the famous Levain chocolate chip cookies. Guys...they are event better than I imagined! We hit up Bukkadan for dinner and went to a comedy show at Caroline's. The Comedy Cellar was also recommended, but it was sold out. I'm sure it was great, but I was crying I was laughing so hard at Lil Rel Howery. He's the friend in the movie "Get Out". Also, we shared all of the food and didn't finish most of it because as I'm reading this...we are coming across as fat chops! haha
Anyway, we had a great time! I hope you had a great weekend too:)
