Falen's Weekend in Chicago in Five Pictures 4/27-4/29

Every year I try to do some trip with my college roommates, Abby and Heidi. I travel better with them than ANYONE else. We like the same stuff, we like to go to bed early, we like to get up early and do a lot of stuff throughout the day. Anyway, we work well together. We bought the city pass for Chicago, and it was beyond worth it. We visited the John Hancock Skydeck on the first night. It was so cool at night, and yes, we did go to the bar as well!

We tried to ride the ferris wheel at the navy pier, but it was raining. FYI-we stayed at the Kimpton Monaco, and it was great! I highly recommend it. We got up early on Saturday and ate at Wildberry Cafe which was a recommendation I got on Facebook. It was super good. Then, we hit up the Willis Tower! I'm not gonna lie...it was actually scarier than I thought it would be, but it was so cool.

We got there right when it opened, but the city pass let us skip the line basically. Then we went to Millenium Park to check out the bean...

We went to the Field Museum, which we all really liked...I mean mummies and dinosaurs...classic. We bought A LOT of souvenirs there including a blue cat that is now on my mantle to watch over my family. What?!

I was told by everyone if I didn't get the burger at Au Cheval, I might as well have not even gone. Apparently, you have to get there at least 2 hours before you wanna eat to get your name on the list. I had the nicest girl ever who listens to our show offer to put our name on the list. She lives close, and she's basically the nicest ever, and I absolutely took her up on the offer. Shoutout Antoinetta!
The burger was legit amazing. Nothing beats the Parlour burger for me, but it was a close second!

We also did a little shopping, and we went to Happy Camper another suggestion I got on my Facebook. TBH, we didn't want deep dish pizza. It was just too much, and this place was so cute. It had tire swings at the bar and was a 2 hour wait as well. The atmosphere was awesome. We just drank at the bar until our table was ready. I had a drink called the Umbrella. It was fantastic. By the time we got the pizza...let's just say I don't remember how good it was...

We did finally ride the ferris wheel and went to the aquarium...both kind meh to me. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. We ended with brunch at the Hampton Social which was also super cute! I hope you had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the amazing weather!
