Hello! Hope you had a good weekend! Mine was fine until Friday night when I started to feel a little tickle in my throat. The next day I felt pretty weak and awful. I tried to walk to Navy Pier and was so tired I had to sit down a few times. Then I came back and took a long nap.
I was supposed to come home Sunday afternoon but got on a flight leaving Saturday night and it felt so good to be home.
This morning, I tested positive for Covid. I was shocked to see that red line, to be honest. I thought maybe I was somehow immune. I feel back to about 85% and WAY better than I did yesterday.
You might have heard, I took the entire morning show to Chicago for a radio convention. 100s of morning people sharing ideas, chatting, laughing, etc. There are a ton of those pics on my Instagram, @daveryankdwb so this blog is gonne be mostly other things!
Let’s go!
Carson went to a wedding Philadelphia this weekend. Yep, some of his friends are getting married already! I loved this picture so I thought I’d share it.
Susan took Josie down to her store to hang out and wander around. She loved it! She’s such a happy girl!
I was in the backyard Sunday and saw some bees around the flowers and I was pretty happy about that because as you know, bees are dying. Apparently pesticides and loss of habitat are killing so many off. So I took this picture because I liked seeing them.
And a few leftover pictures from Chicago! This was at a party Wednesday night with Falen and E. White from KDWB.
And one last picture of Chicago. Hopefully next time I’m there I’ll feel better, but I’m not complaining because I had a great trip!
Can I just say, I’ve had the job I’ve always wanted since I was 17 years old? I love my job and I love my work so much. I’ve never done it for money for fame or to get recognized at Walmart and I think that’s why I’ve lasted so long. I do it for you and people like you. It’s such a great joy to make you happy that you’ve listened. And this weekend, I met, or met again, so many like-minded people. Some of them make millions a year and are as humble as the person who installs your furnace. That’s the way we all should be, don’t you think?
I won’t be in to work till maybe Thursday but I’ll be on the show live from my kitchen!
Thanks for looking at my pictures, and thanks for listening to KDWB!
