New Season Of 'Game Of Thrones' Has A Battle That Took 55 Days To Film

Last year my fiance moved to Denver for a few months because of work relocation issues.

This gave me ample time to actually watch GOT for the first time ever. yes. EVER. I get that i'm late to the game, but whatever, don't judge me.

Apparently, the last season is so epic, that it took 55 nights to shoot.

This is insane.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, one of the directors of Game of Thrones revealed that an battle on the upcoming season took 55 nights to shoot.

55 nights.

The post had a picture of a letter to the crew that said:

“This is for the Night Dragons. For enduring 55 straight nights. For enduring the cold, the snow, the rain, the mud, the sheep shit of Toome and the winds of Magheramorne. When tens of millions of people around the world watch this episode a year from now, they won’t know how hard you worked. They won’t care how tired you were or how tough it was to do your job in sub-freezing temperatures. They’ll just understand that they’re watching something that’s never been done before. And that’s because of you.”

Are you stoked for the new season?! Grab the popcorn and get ready for a gut-wrenching finale.
