On Friday I went on a date with someone I met at a Pitch-A-Friend event. We got drinks at Dashfire Distillery, saw improv, and then got bar food at Mayslack's.
Speaking of improv, have you gone to see The Bearded Company yet? If not, what are you waiting for? This set was about deadly trout at a summer camp.
On Saturday I drove up to St. Cloud to get lunch with my friends Nick and Sarah at Dolsie's. Then we went to a new antique store called O'Brien's Dry Goods where there was a DOG just out and about!
Poked around Little Falls, MN, which is absolutely lovely. I'll have to come back again when all of their historic sites are open because that was lovely. Why was I in Little Falls, you ask?
Well this weekend I had more Spotlight Education evaluations!! I saw Shrek at North Branch High School, A Year with Frog and Toad at Little Falls Community High School, The Addams Family at Centennial High School, and a bonus viewing of Mean Girls at Mounds View High School.
Saturday night I went to a bonfire with a bunch of theatre acquaintances and a couple friends. Ate smores. Listened to people talk theatre. Basked in social activity.
Sunday morning was my last time singing in the choir this season (we take the summer off and I'll be at Speech Nationals on the last choir day). Got Buffalo Wild Wings with Momma Ronda afterwards and soaked up the great weather!
Met with two of my students on Sunday afternoon to do more practice for their Duet Acting piece for Nationals - which is coming up FAST. We still have a lot to do, but Hadley and Graham are natural actors.
Rounded out my weekend with Dungeons and Dragons!
