Friday night I went to the inaugural Pitch A Friend Twin Cities event at Sociable Cider Werks! They had 11 powerpoint presentations pitching single people with a mingle session afterwards. I went with my friends Katie Capp (shoutout) and Sarah Collie - we had a good time but did not fall in love. Made plenty of notes for our eventual pitches, though!
Afterwards, I went to go see my favorite improv group, The Bearded Company, for their B Movies run at Strike Theater.
Speech Saturdays are done, but I filled it with something similar - judging a History Day contest! Sarah Collie and I drove all the way up to St. Cloud State (our alma mater) and got to judge Junior Performances. Our favorites were projects on the Cuyahoga River fires and the Teletypewriter! Afterwards we met up with our friend Nick and bummed around for a few hours.
Saturday night I went to Earl Giles in Northeast with one of my former Speech students, Ellie. She's 21 now and majoring in Biochemistry and still wants to stay in contact! I'll take what I can get. Earl Giles was dope!
My mom and I sung Seasons of Love in the church choir on Sunday, and then we hit up Pappy's for brunch.
