Went out for my friend Alex Gray's birthday to 1029 Bar for karaoke. I rarely ever do karaoke because I chicken out, but I had enough cocktails and sang Sweet Child of Mine. It went well except for the 32 bar instrumental break.
Went to church with my mom for their big music Sunday with a hand bell choir and a big ol' concert by the regular choir. Apparently for Easter services, they'll be singing showtunes. So looks like I might be singing in the church choir again for the spring.
We went to see Wicked again!
Went with my friend Daniela and her crew to The Red Dragon to try the Wonderous Punch before they closed permanently. Apparently they're well known for their boozy drinks, and they were indeed boozy. Then we went to the CC Club, I can't believe I've never gone before!
On Christmas Eve, I went to my Aunt Darling's house to visit with family. She's a kooky kooky lady. Loves to crochet blankets and pawn off bags full of fudge on me.
Went to church on Christmas Eve and got to read scripture (which is always my favorite) and I got the BEST part in the whole dang show - the "there's no room at the inn" selection. Then on Christmas, I went to my dad's house with Momma Ronda, my sister, her spouse, and my niece. We ate food. We opened presents.
Went on a lunch date with Ellie, one of my former students on the Speech Team. We went thrifting at June Room Vintage and got lunch at Nico's Tacos! (I'm just happy she wants to stay in contact!)
Went to see Mark Joseph perform at The Hook and Ladder with Trip's sister, Molly, and their friends Kris and Bridgette (who are now my friends too). Mark was great, and one of our favorite parts of the show were signs that read "Quite Please" instead of Quiet Please. Classic.
Went down to Northfield a few times to see Trip DeMann (from the Defeat of Jesse James Days). Went for the 2nd Annual Hockey Day, where he and Phil got dressed up in their bank raider gear (which I loved). Saw my first hockey game ever and Northfield won! Hit up The R Bar and The Contented Cow for live music, got breakfast at The Grand, and then I went back again for New Years Eve at Dawn's Corner Bar. I drank too much.
Plenty of sweet, sweet cuddle time with my baby, Capp. He's getting fat though. I should put him on a diet (or not).
