Thanksgiving at my dad's house with Momma Ronda, my sister Madison, her spouse, and my niece, Josephine. Thanksgiving food is my favorite food. Delicious.
Went down to Northfield for Trip DeMann's (from the Defeat of Jesse James Days) family Thanksgiving after-party. I met Trip's brother and a boat load of cousins. Trip made dinner plates for all of the cops on duty in the area, and two of them stopped by to pick theirs up - hence the police showing up.
Friday my sister and I got matching Lord of the Rings tattoos (from the scene in the Prancing Pony where Merry and Pippin go "this, my friend, is a pint." "it comes in pints? I'm getting one." Lana Bosak did the tattoos and blended mine in perfectly with my other hops tattoo so it all looks like one cohesive tattoo!
Friday night I ushered at Yellow Tree Theatre for their production of Steel Magnolias, of which I had a small cameo via the radio used in the show! That was pretty cool. Me and my mom cried, it was a sad but good show.
Then Saturday night, I saw my friend Justin in A Very Carey Christmas Cabaret at Bryant Lake Bowl. He played an evil Christmas tree. Classic.
Saturday I woke up feeling a bit feverish, but powered through to hit up a couple thrift stores with my friends Nick and Sarah, and then go to Silent Book Club Mpls at Unmapped Brewing Co. I'm reading From Here to the Great Unknown by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough.
Sunday, I had plans to go back down to Northfield for some quality Trip DeMann time, but the gods had a different plan for me. I had some lower back pain and a fever starting on Friday night, and even though I had gone about my day as usual on Saturday, I didn't do it feeling well. Into Sunday morning, my fever got worse, so I hauled myself over to Urgent Care and was tested for "fever of unknown origin." Turns out I have a kidney infection, which runs in the family! Been in a ton of pain and discomfort all day, but got an antibiotic shot, picking up more antibiotics tomorrow, and getting plenty of Capp snuggles in the meantime. I'm NEVER sick, so this has been a whole lot of not fun.
