Bailey's Theatre-Filled Weekend in Five Pics

I saw three shows this weekend, got tons of steps in and plenty of vitamin D, but would still call it a chill weekend (for me).

First and foremost, I saw THREE shows this weekend!! I love consuming local theatre and this state is packed of amazing options. On Friday, I saw Johnny Skeeky at Theatre Latte Da in Northeast Minneapolis. It was a farcical type opera with a lot of bright colors and kooky characters.

Saturday night I walked to a corner of Lake of the Isles to see Classical Actors Ensemble do Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. They travel all around the cities performing for free outdoors. I'm not always a Shakespeare girl, but the actors were outstanding and really made the show great! (It's the plot of She's the Man if you love Amanda Bynes.)

Then on Sunday I saw Little Shop of Horrors at the Guthrie. This is one of my favorite musicals and I got to see it with my friends, Sarah and Jordan! The production was phenomenal (Audrey was my favorite) and I definitely recommend it.

Saturday morning, I volunteered with the Minneapolis Parks Board to deadhead the roses in the Lyndale Park Rose Garden. I started volunteering last year just because I liked gardening and it's been nice helping out the parks and getting my hands dirty at the same time.

Saturday I briefly got to see Momma Ronda and my sister, Madison. We had planned to hang out with my niece, but it kinda trainwrecked, but hey I got a little sun and to see my family.

I call it a chill weekend because I actually got a decent amount of TV time (currently on the final season of Sex and the City) and cuddle time with my cat, Capp. Here he is being very long.

Finally, on Sunday I went to ONE MORE grad party for another one of my Speech captains! The food was delicious and this is the last senior of my grad party season! I got to go to 7 grad parties this year - I'm happy to have been invited to them all, but my wallet is happier it's over!
