Dave’s “Get the Family Together” Weekend in Five Pictures

Wow.

What a weekend. There was good; spending time with my family, and there was the awful events of Saturday.

It’s not my intention to not acknowledge the attack on Trump, and we’ll talk about it on Monday’s show. I’m still shocked at the disgusting reaction of so many people who wished the attack was successful and I’m proud of President Biden and Governor Walz, two people who don’t like Trump, for being concerned, gracious and human in the aftermath. Maybe, just maybe, this will open some eyes on just how divided we are in America. Either way, violence never has a place in political discourse.

Let’s move on to those pictures and focus on some positive things!

Carson is in town so we got together with Allison at Chammp’s in Eden Prairie for lunch on Friday. I wish we could see Beth and Chase more often and get all of us together!

Friday night, Susan and I went riding. We stopped in Cologne and then went to Grumpy’s in St. Boni. Shout out to the owner, Joe who’s always such a great host!

My Pikes Peak hike is coming up in less than three weeks! Josie and I went on a training hike on Saturday on the hills in Lake Minnewashta Park but the bugs were so bad in the woods I had to cut it short.

I coulnd’t get everyone in on this picture but there were nine of us together on Sunday. Normally Sunday’s are a full work day, getting ready for the show for the week. But this time I said, eff it. I’m gonna hang out with these people. Family is the best!
