The Top 10 Excuses We Use to Get Out of Stuff

Do you have a go-to excuse to get out of something you don't want to do . . . or are you someone who tries to mix it up?

A new survey asked people what they do when they want to get out of something, and 63% said they try to "find" other, "more important" things to do instead.

They also asked people for the excuse they go with most often, and the most common response was: "I'm too tired." Here's the rest of the Top 10:

2. "It's too cold."

3. "I forgot."

4. "I'll start tomorrow."

5. "I didn't sleep well last night."

6. "I'm trying to save money."

7. "I just can't be bothered."

8. "I've got a lot of work to do."

9. "I've got a headache."

10. "I've made other plans."

Less popular excuses were: "I can't get up, the cat is on my lap." And "I'm busy catching up on household chores."
