Billie Joe Armstrong shared a new installment of No Fun Monday... on Friday (July 10), "because no one knows what day it is anyway." The latest cover is of Billy Bragg's 1983 track "A New England."

"Welcome to No Fun Monday on a Friday because no one knows what day it is anyway," the Green Day frontman captioned an Instagram post revealing the cover. "I love this song penned by Billy Bragg. Also a great version by Kirsty MacColl"

Armstrong unveiled his first cover, a timely rendition of Tommy James & The Shondells' 1967 hit "I Think I'm Alone Now," in March. "I figure if we have to spend this time in isolation at least we can be alone together," he said at the time.

That was followed by a cover of Johnny Thunders' 1978 track "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory," a rendition of The Bangles' "Manic Monday," where he was joined by the band's singer/guitarist Susanna Hoffs, and a tribute to Adam Schlesinger with a cover of "That Thing You Do!" He also celebrated his bandmate Mike Dirnt's birthday with a cover of "We're The Kids In America" and most recently covered John Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth."

The rockstar will have lots of time on his hands to record more covers. Green Day's Hella Mega Tour with Weezer and Fall Out Boy was recently postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
