Robin Williams' Daughter Did The Disney Character Filter On IG & Got Genie

If you've been on Instagram at all over the past few days, you've probably come across the viral Disney filter for Stories, which tells you which classic character you are. Robin Williams' daughter, Zelda Williams, gave the filter a try and her answer was quite serendipitous: she was matched her dad's beloved character, Genie, from Aladdin.

The 30-year-old actress first shared her turn with the filter on her Instagram Stories, where she can be seen patiently waiting for the filter to land on a character. When it finally lands on Genie, Zelda has a quick moment of surprise before breaking out into a warm smile and laugh. It's honestly such a sweet moment.

Not long after she posted to her Stories, Zelda saved the video and then shared it on Twitter, as well. "Y'all...," was all she wrote in her caption.

Shortly after sharing this heartwarming moment on social media, Zelda took time to reflect on the past decade of her life. In particular, she opened up about losing her dad in 2014. “I’m not sure I will ever cry or laugh harder than I have these last 10 years. So much has been lost… and so much gained,” she wrote on New Year's Eve. “Most of the time I’m at a loss to describe what it feels like to look back at this past decade, it seems almost impossible to take it all in or sum it all up, to make it bite size and palatable to be read on here by strangers and friends alike.”

“I don’t think I’d still be here were it not for the patience and kindness of my friends, or the many relationships that taught me to love, and after Dad, to be loved again even if I knew I may lose them,” she continued. “My life would be so different without the generous spirit of countless strangers hoping to spread positivity, and the endless ways in which life continues to amaze and surprise me.”

She then went on to talk about her expectations for the next 10 years. "I can honestly say I don’t know what the next decade holds for any of us. I am certain there will be joy and pain, pleasure and anger," Zelda wrote. "The world is in turmoil and so are many hearts. But each night I see the sky change colors I find I am so endlessly grateful for another day to come, and to share this big old rock with all of you."
