I've been going through old pictures looking for ones to display at Carson's grad party. Most of them are on CD-ROMs that I haven't looked in years. Who even has a CD-ROM player anymore? Well, I fixed an old laptop with a CD-ROM drive and started searching through dozens of old disks.
And that's when I found these. My dad was visiting us in 2002 and I took him up flying. He was a pilot/navigator in WWII and for a few years after the war, but he hadn't flown since.
So I took him up and turned the plane over to him. After all those years, he still had it!
We lost dad in 2003, just a year later and I'm so happy I got to go flying with him before he passed away.
