My two favorite shows of all time are The OC & Gossip Girl so when I saw that there might be a reboot in the making, I needed the details!
The president of The CW said there's "a discussion happening" of a reboot. "But I don't know if we're there yet."
The president said, "I don't know what it would be," but it all comes down to the involvement of original writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.
Back in 2016 they said they didn't see a reboot happening but now Schwartz has acknowledged "the Internet has changed," so a Gossip Girl made up of Instagram influencers makes an awful lot of sense.
"The world has become Gossip Girl now. ... Now literally everyone is Gossip Girl ."
So fingers crossed this happens! But I'm only going to be on board if Chuck and Blair are in it still.
