Steve-O's Weekend in Five Pics: Lake Minnetonka's Frozen Ice Castle

The weekend began Friday with a trip to South Minneapolis/Edina to check out a bunch of antique shops.  Went to Hunt and Gather, one of the best in the Twin Cities for good reason, it's more then just antiques. Bonus, you don't have to worry about having to be careful of precious glass figurines.

Side note, will people view me as a Victorian serial killer if I start putting items like this in my home?

Friday night was spent at our kids school for movie night and Isaac's first sleepover and then it was back to kids activities on saturday.

I've heard the joke before but the idea that you're basically an uber driver as soon as your kids are old enough to get involved in clubs is totally true.

No Wait! Almost forgot, here's another 'highlight' from the weekend. The kids got Gizmodo watches for Christmas which are basically cell phones that allow you to monitor your kids. They only call a certain number of people that you decide. Friday after the kids had left for school, Kristy got a call from Isaac's watch which is strange because we don't let him take the watch to school.

Guess what, it wasn't Isaac who called, it was Charlie, our Golden Doodle who got the watch from Isaac's room and used it as a chew toy.  Santa and I are pissed!

Sunday evening we ended the weekend by visiting the Ice Castle they built in Excelsior in Lake Minnetonka. I don't think it gets any more Minnesotan then going to a castle made of ice (which you could technically make in your backyard...for free) so you can take photos of ice. There are selfie spots, the smoothest slide your butt has ever encountered and there's even a wishing well.

Here are a few more pics.
