John Legend Just Made History With His EGOT Win!

John Legend just made history!

John Legend took home a Emmy at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday for producing best variety special winner Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert. With his Emmy win, he added the E to is GOT.

Haven't heard of an EGOT? It's basically the super exclusive club for those who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony. Other famous EGOTians? (they don't have a name, I'm just workshopping here) include Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Legend is just the fifteenth person to join this elite group.

Not only is he apart of the group, he is the youngest member & the first black man.

"Before tonight, only 12 people had won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony in competitive categories. Sirs Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice and I joined that group when we won an Emmy for our production of their legendary show Jesus Christ Superstar. So happy to be part of this team. So honored they trusted me to play Jesus Christ. So amazed to be in such rarefied air.#EGOT"
