I found a great article that reminds us how much a pair of glasses changes the way we look and the way we are perceived. Put on the wrong pair of glasses and not only can they make you less attractive, but they can make you look, well, stupid, in the same way wearing clothes that are too old or too young for you can make you look a little silly.
I've found that the glasses I like are usually not the best pair for me. Susan will look, scrunch up her nose and shake her head. When she does that, I pretty much know they're not right.
You also don't want to get a pair just to get it over with. Unless you really have no intention of anyone seeing you in them. For example, personally, I think wire frames:
-Are dated. (Hello 1970s!)
-Make you look like you didn't care.
-Make you look old.
-Make no fashion statement whatsoever.
BTW, this guy looks great in these glasses! Subtle but bold and hip and young. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he's probably a model and would look good in a pair of these:
