Kendall Jenner is responding to the backlash over her comments in a recent interview with a magazine.

“Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do. More power to ‘em. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back,” says the 22-year-old, admitting that she “was on the verge of a mental breakdown.” #LOVE20 Photographer @alasdairmclellan Fashion Editor @kegrand Make up @ctilburymakeup Hair @jamesspecis Casting @bitton Interview #MurrayHealy

Kendall has issued a statement on Twitter -

Personal opinion here, but I believe Kendall. I'm sure she didn't mean* to come off like a spoiled brat. I'm sure she didn't mean* to insult her fellow models and I'm sure she meant* those comments with only the upmost respect for what they do.

Girl has spent her entire life in a bubble. She has 0 concept of reality. She has no idea what it's like to start at the bottom and work hard everyday to find a fraction of success. I'm not saying Kendall isn't talented or that she doesn't work hard, I'm just staying that she does not now, nor has she or will she ever understand what it's like to be normal, what it's like to be treated like everyone else. She will always be given special treatment based on her name and her family.
